Rooted in research from the Max-Planck-Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS) and the National University of Singapore, SimBricks was born from real-world challenges in simulating and evaluating modern computing platforms. The research project gained traction quickly, resulting in the publication of the inaugral paper at a top-tier conference (ACM SIGCOMM 2022).
In 2024, members of the research team decided to commercialize SimBricks, bringing the benefits of virtual prototypes of entire computer systems from the realm of research to the world of industry. A team was quickly formed, bringing together extensive technical and business expertise. With over 20 years of combined technical experience and a solid track record navigating business landscapes, Jakob, Marvin, Antoine, and Nina set out to transform the way modern computer systems are built.
